Catuaba Power Supplement

Catuaba Power is a dietary supplement developed to offer the natural aphrodisiac benefits of Catuaba.

What are the Benefits Associated with Catuaba Power?

Catuaba is a plant indigenous to the Amazon rainforests of Brazil. Erythroxylum catuaba, to give its scientific name, is a shrub that can grow up to 4 meters tall. It produces flowers and fruit though they are not edible. It is the bark of the shrub which for many centuries has been harvested and used for its aphrodisiac properties. It is said that the Tupi Indians used catuaba bark to prepare stimulating infusions with aphrodisiac effects.

  • Catuaba is still used today in traditional Brazilian medicine to prepare "love potions" for increasing sexual desire and natural remedies for treating loss of libido.
  • Studies conducted on this aphrodisiac plant show that it may be particularly effective at increasing male sexual energy but may also boost female libido too.
  • In addition to its aphrodisiac benefits, catuaba also has relaxing properties.
  • Current scientific data suggests it acts on the central nervous system, potentially helping to calm the nerves, relieve stress, and combat insomnia.
  • Catuaba is therefore now being studied as a possible treatment for anxiety, nervous tension, and sleep problems.
  • While catuaba's stress-fighting effects are the subject of increasing investigation, there is also scientific interest in other potential benefits such as an anti-infection effect.
  • Preliminary findings suggest that catuaba combats various infectious agents due to anti-viral and anti-bacterial action and could therefore be used for preventing or treating certain infections.
  • Its therapeutic potential goes even further, with some researchers attributing pain-relieving, analgesic effects to this medicinal plant.

What are the Active Principles in Catuaba Power Capsules?

The subject of increasing scientific study, catuaba's benefits come from its exceptional content in active principles. Unlike other plants of the Erythroxylum genus, catuaba does not contain cocaine, an alkaloid associated with dependency. It is therefore a natural, safe and effective sexual stimulant. In particular, it contains:

  1. Alkaloids;
  2. Tannins;
  3. Phytosterols;
  4. Sesquiterpenes;
  5. Flavonoids;
  6. Lignans.

For optimal efficacy, Catuaba Power has been formulated to deliver 375 mg of catuaba extract per capsule, which at a dose of 2 capsules twice a day, provides sexual stimulant efficacy.

Along with Catuaba Power, other aphrodisiac plants are available to buy at SuperSmart, such as Super Maca, for increasing sex drive, and the stimulant effects of extracts of Epimedium sagittatum and fenugreek in the formulation Prosexual Booster Formula.
